Introduction
Jim Wheeler, known as Jimbo, is a late bloomer in the art world, in fact a very late bloomer - he was 82 years old in 2022 when, on a whim, he first took up painting as a recreational activity. Thanks to enthusiastic support from his local art group, especially its founder, Vera Marques, he has since been having fun exploring many different creative formats in which he is developing his own styles. From the beginning, he demonstrated a natural tendency for creating pictures with a narrative, allowing viewers to imagine for themselves the stories behind the images.
Although in general he takes an “art for fun” approach to his work, recent global events have prompted Jimbo to paint more satirical images, some of which are attracting international attention because of their controversial nature. This website is a platform for exhibiting his works and a channel for ordering originals, copies or prints, if required. It also provides a site where other budding artists can exhibit their artworks.

Art Work Pricing
Prices: The prices for individual artworks are shown with the images in the Gallery of Artworks. All prices include packing and postage.
Original Artworks: When available, prices are shown with the artwork details
Prints: When available, prices are shown with the artwork details. Limited editions are guaranteed to be produced in no more than the quantity stated. Each limited-edition print is on canvas stretched onto a wooden box frame and is signed and numbered.
Posters: When available, prices are shown with the artwork details. Posters are printed on 240 gsm paper with silk finish. Contact us to enquire about discounts for quantity orders of posters
Frames: frames are not included for practical reasons:
The style of a frame is subjective and best left for a purchaser to choose with a local frame manufacturer
Frames add considerably to the weight and therefore to the postage costs
In addition, glazed pictures cannot be insured against damage during transport
A common trend is for people to hang their purchased artworks unframed
Nevertheless, in most cases, we are able to include an unglazed frame at an additional cost, provided the purchaser specifies the style of frame required. Please contact us for a quote.
Orders and Payments:If you wish to purchase an item displayed, go to the Paintings of Your Choice on the Home page, then click on the blue price tag for your selected item. You will be given the choice of adding the item directly to your cart or selecting one of the options, which can then be added to your cart. From the cart, you can proceed to the Checkout, where you will be asked to fill in your name, delivery address and card details. Before clicking on the Order button, please check you have given full and accurate information. When the payment has been cleared, you will receive an acknowledgement of your order and an invoice for your records..
Deliveries: Each ordered work of art is packed and dispatched within 4 - 7 working days of receipt of payment. Depending on the size and weight of an item, it will be sent by regular post or by courier and insured.
